Months of intense training, 3,000 miles on a bike across america, and you wash it down with a donut.

June 24, 2011Great to have been here again. Last year it was so special to have watched Connor ride through and his 6th grade school teacher try and reach him over the two way radio.
Brother’s of another Mother
June 24, 2011As I was putting this team together j wasn’t totally sure who was going to be on it. There was a good chance that it was going to be a few of the great guys that I rode with last year, but it didn’t happen. What happened was spectacular. The guys that I have ridden across America with are like brother’s from another mother.
Bob is the older wiser brother who has lots if experience but has great discernment of people and circumstances.
Steve is my long lost brother from birth. With so much in common it’s like he IS from the same mother. He is our rookie rider who couldn’t be on our team last year but committed to do the harder 4 man RAAM this year. He bought all new equipment and started training. Well…..he waited awhile to train but he finally got to it And stuck with it. It really paid off.
That leaves us with Patrick! The most enthusiastic person I have met. Once he found out what we were doing he wanted to be a part if it and he didn’t care if he were a crew or a racer.
All these men have shown tremendous effort. I have enjoyed my time with each if them. Thank you for making this team a great one!

June 23, 2011Missora
June 22, 2011So not everyone in Missouri is that bad. A lady at a gas station asked us if we were accepting donations and we of course said yes. She gave us one dollar and 30 cents. Its all she had. Jimmy talked to her for a second and she said it is awesome what we are doing. Gave her a green bracelet and she was gone. It’s interesting the people we all meet on RAAM..
